Stitching Days

How are the floats decorated? How many people work on a float like this? And what does the workspace look like? You can find answers to all these questions during the setup days. Take a look behind the scenes at the Bollenstreek Flower Parade.

Over the course of three days, the floats—which were built, welded, and prepared in advance for the flower-arranging days—are actually decorated with flowers. Various techniques are used to attach the flowers to the float.

You might even get to arrange a section yourself. How cool is that?! Then, during the parade weekend, you’ll see your own creation pass by along the route.
