On Saturday April 25, 2020 the Flower Parade of the Bollenstreek will travel from Noordwijk to Haarlem. In the three days before the parade the floats will be ‘pierced’, that is to say, covered and decorated with bulb flowers. Many hundreds of volunteers will be busy for days with the piercing or pinning of thousands of hyacinths, tulips and daffodils to the floats. This unique event can be admired at the hall of DeLeeuw Flowerbulbs in Sassenheim.
The construction days are open for public on Wednesday 22, Thursday 23 or Friday 24 April at DeLeeuw Flowerbulbs in Sassenheim. This flower bulb company has been hosting the construction days for years. Please note that you are welcome to visit the construction days, but you can't just walk in. You can buy an admission ticket at the counter and if you want to learn all the fun facts, you can even book a tour.
